Armed Services Veterans have historically experienced high unemployment rates, especially those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
According to research by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, “U.S. Military Veterans who have been deployed overseas for prolonged periods struggle to find work because of trauma associated with war, as well as training that does not readily translate into the civilian world.”
One important fact that must precede every person that has faithfully served in the Armed Services is, “Even though most of our training does not translate into a civilian career, the leadership, management and security training skills that are instilled in each serviceman and servicewoman establishes a strong foundation for success in any civilian career, especially security services".
Coastal Protection is dedicated to working with the Veterans Administration and supporting their efforts towards assisting our Homeless and PTSD veteran population; ultimately, offering a clear path to employment opportunities within the Private Security Industry.
As a result, Coastal Protection will not only establish itself as a community partner with all Veteran Administration programs that support Homeless and PTSD Veterans, the management staff will make their recruitment and selection a number one priority.
